Are you ready to kick off your holiday celebration? November is here—so it’s time to get festive, whip up your best Turkey Day recipes and spend quality time with loved ones. And, let’s not forget about finding the perfect gifts for your family and friends.
Black Friday may be a great opportunity to hunt down a good bargain, but for some, the crowds can be more than just a hassle. Save yourself the trouble and try your hand at Small Business Saturday. Held the day after Black Friday, Small Business Saturday is a great way to support local retailers, so much so, it’s become a movement.
Back in 2010, small businesses were really feeling the effects of the recession. American Express founded Small Business Saturday to support the local shops that make communities strong and unique. Through constant promotion, small businesses have regained exposure over the years, maintaining a special place on our corners. Last year, 108 million shoppers supported Small Business Saturday and spent a reported $12.9 billion. This year, we’re hoping they do even better.
Small businesses range from art studios to bakeries, small gyms to bookstores, dry cleaners to restaurants and more. We love to support the nearly 200 small businesses that work tirelessly to provide goods and services to our managed communities. “As a family company that started small, Bozzuto is proud to celebrate and support our small business partners,” said President and CEO Toby Bozzuto. “Our goal is to create sanctuary—not just for our residents and communities, but for entire neighborhoods. Together, we can elevate our communities, creating extraordinary experiences in a vibrant atmosphere.”
