Wood framing has commenced above the 2nd floor podium along with metal framing below on the south side of Block A. Trades have also begun rough-ins above and below the podium. Below grade, crews continue to hang fire and plumbing lines inside the G1 and G2 levels.
Framing and sheathing on Block B will continue throughout the month of March. The building is scheduled to be topped out at the end of the month allowing for roofers to begin in early April. Plumbing, fire, and mechanical rough-ins have also begun inside the building.
Metal framing in the artist studios lining the arts walk continues. Plumbing, electrical, and mechanical rough-in are ongoing inside the building, while brick continues on the exterior along the arts walk. Pepco has also begun pulling feeder lines to service Block C, and utility crews continue with storm water connections on the north side of the building.
Exterior metal framing and sheathing is underway on Block D. Look for exterior brick to begin on the north elevation early next week. Sprinkler, plumbing and electrical rough-ins have begun inside the building and will continue throughout the month of March.
7th Street remains closed to vehicular traffic as wet utility crews continue to upgrade existing lines. Site lighting crews will be working on 7th Street, between Monroe and Lawrence Street, next week running conduit for future street lighting. Pepco, along with pulling lines for building C, will also be installing underground wiring for the street lighting. Please use caution along Monroe Street while crews are working, and obey all posted detour signage and flagmen.
